This management pack monitors Forefront Identity Manager 2010 (FIM). This pack includes discovery and monitors for FIM Service, FIM Synchronization Service (previously ILM 2007), and FIM Portal.

The FIM Service exposes a WS-* interface for client components to create, read, update, and delete identity resources.

The FIM Synchronization Service is a metadirectroy for enterprises to manage resources across multiple, heterogeneous enterprise applications.

The FIM Portal is a portal for information workers to enable group management and user management. In addition, the product team recommends using best practices from the IIS and SharePoint teams to monitor the FIM Portal.

The classes, monitors, and discoveries in this management pack are public so you can override them to meet your needs.

By default only essential availability monitoring is enabled by default. All configuration monitored is disabled so you can tailor them to meet your organization’s policies.
