The Service Level Dashboard for Operations Manager is a new Solution Accelerator that addresses IT Service Managers’ need for near real time, end-to-end reporting of the performance and availability of their line-of-business (LOB) applications. The accelerator provides a unique view of a business application from the user’s point of view by simulating user interactions with the business application and reporting on the experience. A small number of agents are deployed in the enterprise network to provide an accurate sampling of all the different conditions under which the business application operates. The data is then collected and interpreted.
Results are displayed in a single Web-based user interface, providing both top-level and drilldown views. The top level view reports the Service Level Agreement (SLA) status (compliant or non-compliant) of every application being monitored. The detailed views reveal component-level information that can help administrators investigate the possible causes of noncompliance reported at the top level.

What’s new in v1.1
- New summary reports. Version 1.1 of the Service Level Dashboard includes summary reports based on Dundas Gauges. These reports summarize how well applications or groups of applications meet their service level goals.
- Fixed an access denied issue. Occasionally users of version 1.0 of the Service Level Dashboard received access denied errors. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.
Getting started
To install the Service Level Dashboard for System Center Operations Manager 2007 Management Pack, download the installer file to your management server and then import the Management Pack into Operations Manager 2007. After you import the Management Pack, you can complete the necessary additional setup and customization for your environment by following the Service Level Dashboard for System Center Operations Manager 2007 User Guide.
Note: Before you import the management pack, it is recommended to review the release notes, user guide, and planning guide. This documentation is included in the .msi and is also available as a separate download.

Prerequisites and installation notes
The following are prerequisites to install and use Service Level Dashboard for System Center Operations Manager Management Pack:
- Have System Center Operations Manager 2007 SP1 deployed in at least one Management Group. A Management Group consists of an Operations Manager 2007 database, at least one Operations Manager 2007 Management Server, the Operations Manager 2007 Operations Console, and managed computers.
- Have Operations Manager 2007 SP1 Reporting Components deployed and functioning for the above Management Group.
- Have the Operations Manager 2007 SP1 agent deployed on all computers that you want to execute synthetic transactions from.
- Have the following Management Packs installed:
- Microsoft.SystemCenter.Library Version 6.0.6278.0
- Microsoft.Windows.Library Version 6.0.6278.0
- System.Health.Library Version 6.0.6278.0
- System.Library Version 6.0.6278.0
These are typically installed with SP1.
