Monitors if configuration within F5 BIG-IP devices in Sync Failover Group is synchronized.
This monitor checks if configuration within F5 BIG-IP devices in Sync Failover Group is synchronized.
The following configuration parameters are customizable:
Synchronization Time | Synchronization time in a 24-hour format. No default value is specified. |
Use Cache | If true, cache will be used, in order to minimize impact of monitoring on the F5 BIG-IP device. Default value is false. |
Timeout Seconds | This value is used for setting timeout value to access the F5 BIG-IP device. Default value is 270 seconds. |
Update Interval in Seconds | Recurring scheduled interval in seconds used for running the workflow. Default value is 300 seconds. |
Debug | When true, writes more information into event log. Default value is false. |
Monitor Red State | In case that this parameter is set to true a critical alert will be created if the Sync Failover Group configuration is in state Red. RED state means that not all devices are synced, a validation error occurred while syncing, or an error in trust domain. Default value is true. |
Monitor Blue State | In case that this parameter is set to true a warning alert will be created if the Sync Failover Group configuration is in state Blue. BLUE state means that some of the devices in Sync Group are awaiting the initial config sync or the local device is not a member of the selected device group. Default value is true. |
Monitor Yellow State | In case that this parameter is set to true a warning alert will be created if the Sync Failover Group configuration is in state Yellow. YELLOW state means that changes are pending or there is a possible change conflict between some of the devices in Sync Group. Default value is true. |
Monitor Other State | In case that this parameter is set to true a warning alert will be created if the Sync Failover Group configuration is in state Other. Default value is true. |
Configuration within devices in Sync Failover Group not being synchronized might be caused by number of possible reasons, such as any of the following:
Device_name1, device_name2, etc. did not receive last sync successfully.
A validation error occurred while syncing to a remote device.
Error in trust domain.
There is a possible change conflict between device_name1, device_name2, etc.
Device_name1, device_name2, etc. awaiting the initial config sync.
The local device is not a member of the selected device group.
Not logged into the primary cluster member.
For additional causes, please refer to F5 knowledge articles.
Please see F5 knowledge article Managing Configuration Synchronization for guidance on how to resolve specific sync issue.
