Monitors Monitor Service Windows Service.
Monitor to see if the Citrix Monitor Service is running.
The Citrix Monitor Service is part of a Citrix Delivery Controller deployment and is responsible for monitoring the different FMA components and produces alerts and warnings when there is potential something wrong. It logs al the monitoring data in the monitoring database which is readable through the OData API. Also these alerts and warnings are visible within the Studio or Director console.
The Citrix Monitor Service depends on the Workstation service.
A service can stop for many reasons, including:
The service was stopped by an Administrator.
The service encountered an exception that stopped the service.
The service was improperly configured, which prevented it from starting.
The service was prevented from starting because the user account assigned to the service could not be authenticated.
The service can be restarted using the Services snap-in which can be accessed through the Computer Management console.
Check the Application log within Windows Logs in the Windows event viewer for detailed error messages.
