IBMStorageSubsystem.FailureID_0072_Monitor (UnitMonitor)

Monitor Description for (72)

Knowledge Base article:

Uncertified Drive

What Caused the Problem?

Your storage subsystem contains one or more unsupported drive enclosures. The Recovery Guru Details area provides specific information you will need as you follow the recovery steps. If all of your drive enclosures are being detected as unsupported, you may have a problem with an NVSRAM configuration file or the wrong version of firmware. Contact your technical support representative instead of following the procedure below.

Caution: Electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive components. Always use proper antistatic protection when handling components. Touching components without using a proper ground may damage the equipment.

Important Note

Refer to your hardware documentation or call your technical support representative for information on what type of drive enclosures are supported in your storage subsystem.

Recovery Steps

1

Remove the unsupported drive enclosures identified in the Details area of this Recovery Guru procedure.

2

Click the

Recheck

button to rerun the Recovery Guru. The failure should no longer appear in the Summary area. If the failure appears again, contact your technical support representative.
