This monitor catches Xian events that notifies when the Port incoming frames if has changed its state.

Summary

Number of incoming port frames is over threshold.

The number of incoming frames received by this port from its segment is above the maximum threshold configured in Xian Network Manager 2012.

Causes

Increase of network demand in frames directed to the port. If it is not for a protocol being processed by the local bridging gunction, including bridge management frames.

Resolutions

Verify flow management is configured to meet requirements. Upgrading might be necessary to enhance switching capabilities through the port. Make sure no process is bound to incoming port. In the event a process was bound to the incoming port when ProCurve Manager has been started, simply terminate the process and restart the ProCurve Manager (server).

Additional

Monitors the number of frames that have been received by this port from its segment.
