The per-second rate of messages dropped at the external edge because the federation type of the domain is incompatible with previous messages.

Causes

A previous message determined the federation type for this peer. The domain in the current message has a different, and incompatible, federation type.

Resolutions

Verify that all routing rules related to domains supported by the federated peer are of the same type. For further information, enable DIAGNOSTIC tracing in the Administrator Log and look for events with result code MSG_INCOMPATIBLE_TRAFFIC_TYPE.
