This rule generates alerts if the WSUS configuration manager failed to subscribe to or get update categories and classification on a WSUS server.
WSUS_Configuration_Manager remotely configures and subscribes to categories and classifications on the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server from the Configuration Manager site server by using the WSUS API.
Check for details in WCM.log.
This condition could occur because:
A compatible version of WSUS server 3.0 is not installed on the software update point.
A compatible version of WSUS 3.0 Administration console is not installed on the Configuration Manager site server.
The Internet Information Services (IIS) port information that is provided by the administrator through the software update component configuration is different than the one configured during WSUS server installation.
Network connectivity issues exist between the Configuration Manager site server and the WSUS server.
