Collection rule for the performance counter Logical Disk\Free Megabytes

Summary

This rule collects performance data for the Logical Disk\Free Megabytes performance counter. The collected values are accessible in performance views and reports.

This metric exposes the total amount of unallocated space on a specific logical disk (file system) in megabytes.

The file system space reserved for the root user is not included in the calculated free space. File system space usage is calculated with current free and total values, which may not accurately represent true usage for file systems that dynamically allocate space, such as ZFS.
