The Microsoft Forefront TMG Control service requires Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 or Windows Server 2003.

Causes

The firewall is not designed to work with the current version of the operating system.

Install either Windows Server 2003, or Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4. For best practice, always install the latest service packs.
