Processor \% DPC Time (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9)

Microsoft.Linux.SLES.9.Processor.TotalPercentDPCTime.Collection (Rule)

Collects the performance counter Processor\\% DPC Time

Knowledge Base article:

Summary

This rule collects performance data for the Processor Total Percent DPC Time performance counter. This information is collected and is displayed in one or more views and/or reports.

The Processor Total Percent DPC Time performance counter displays the percentage of time that the processor spent receiving and servicing deferred procedure calls (DPCs) during the sample interval. DPCs are interrupts that run at a lower priority than standard interrupts. % DPC Time is a component of % Privileged Time because DPCs are run in privileged mode. They are counted separately and are not a component of the interrupt counters. This counter displays the average busy time as a percentage of the sample time.
