The percent of MySQL Server connections that are currently being aborted. Aborted connections can result from invalid login credentials from a client application or from timing out. This monitor takes the number of aborted connections from the status variable ‘Aborted_connects’ and divides by the status variable ‘Connections’.
An unhealthy state indicates the percentage of aborted connections on the MySQL Server is currently high. This can be caused by the following:
incorrect privileges used when connecting to a database
client program does not close connection before exit
connect packets take longer than global variable connect_timeout
connect packet is malformed
connect packets are larger than global variable max_allowed_packet
Misconfigured TCP/IP
To address high aborted connections choose one or more of the following options:
determine privileges client programs utilize
verify proper termination of mysql connection in client program
increase global variable connect_timeout
increase global variable max_allowed_packet
