Causes

Memory allocation failed in Excel Calculation Services because no memory was available to allocate.

Resolutions

After the memory allocation failure, Excel Calculation Services might have stopped. Ensure that Excel Calculation Services is running. If it is not running, start it. If this error occurs frequently, consider the following steps:

Add more RAM to the server running Excel Calculation Services.
Scale out the farm by adding more servers running Excel Calculation Services.
