While running, the content deployment job successfully made a network connection to the destination server and began transferring the deployment package. However, the network connection timed out before completing the transfer.
Note: Depending on the configuration of the deployment job, a deployment package can be one file or a collection of smaller files.
Possible causes include:
The destination server might have become unavailable.
Network issues are causing network connection failures.
To resolve this problem:
Verify whether the destination server is accessible from the source server. For example, log on to the source server and attempt to ping the destination server or access a Web page on the destination server.
View the Content Deployment Report for the failed content deployment job. This report, which can be viewed on the source server, provides detailed information about failures that occur during a content deployment job and recommendations for resolving them.
To view the Content Deployment Report
Perform the following steps on the source server on which the content deployment job was run.
In Central Administration, click the Operations tab.
In the Content Deployment section, click Content Deployment Paths and Jobs.
In the Status column, click the Failed link for the failed job you want to view.
