SQL 2016 DBs Active Sessions performance collection rule
Active sessions count for SQL 2016 DB
Active sessions metric show the sum of external client connections and internal system connections to the database. If this metric is very high, connected clients may have problems with performance, other non-connected clients may experience issues accessing the database.
