Summary

SQL Server Service Broker or Database Mirror attempted to call an operating system cryptographic function. The cryptographic function returned an error.

Causes

The SQL Server Service Broker or Database Mirror received an error when it tried to call an operating system cryptographic function. The error number is recorded in the Windows application log as MSSQLSERVER event ID 9650. The cause of the Service Broker error is the error returned by the system cryptographic function.

Resolutions

Identify the cause of the error specified in the Windows application log and fix that error.
