Workflow Initialization: Failed to initialize access to an event log

Microsoft.SystemCenter.AppLogModule.FailedInitialization.Alert (Rule)

This rule generates alerts when one or more workflows fail to access a Windows event log on a system.

Summary

One or more workflows are trying to access a log in the windows event log but they failed during their initialization process.

Causes

Workflows may fail to initialize access because workflow itself is written incorrectly or the log is in some way corrupted.

Resolutions

Use the computer management task to connect to the system, and confirm that the event log is present and accessible.
Run the computer management task
Confirm that the name of the event log shown in the computer management snap-in is the same as what was shown in the alert. If that is not the case then update the workflow to use the correct name of the log.
