This rule generates alerts when CEIP Listener fails to start because the port is not available.
The port for the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) is currently being used and Operations Manager is unable to transmit CEIP data.
The port that CEIP is configured to use is currently in use. The default port for CEIP is port 51907.
To change the port for CEIP, disable client monitoring, and then re-enable client monitoring using the Client Monitoring Configuration Wizard and specify a different port. For instructions on configuring client monitoring, see Configure Client Monitoring in Operations Manager 2012 ( http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=161804).
To display the active connections being used by the TCP/IP protocol, at the command prompt, type “netstat –b”.
