Update Device Managment Configuration (Resolution)

If the database configuration for the Wipe service is invalid, then MDM will log Event ID 3004. To correct this error, follow these steps:

  1. In the MDM Console, choose Start, choose All Programs, choose Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager, and then choose Mobile Device Manager Shell.
  2. In MDM Shell, execute the following cmdlet: Get-DeviceManagementConfig.
  3. Inspect the output, including any errors, to determine which configuration values are invalid.
  4. In MDM Shell, use the Set-DeviceManagementConfig cmdlet to set the configuration. For more information about setting device management configuration, see the "Configuring MDM Services" topic in the MDM Operations Guide.
