Device Management Engine Core (Aspect)

This aspect contains the Device Management Engine Core objects that you can monitor in the Device Management Engine. These health monitors include the following detectors.

Green Health States

Event ID 3003: TEE_OMA_SESSION_COMPLETED_SUCCESSFULLY - The device management session with device X completed successfully.
Event ID 3007: TEE_GOOD_SYNCML_RECEIVED_FROM_CLIENT - A good Syncml message was received from Device X.
Event ID 3009: TEE_VALID_CONFIGURATION_SETTINGS - Valid configuration settings were retrieved for the device management engine.

Yellow Health States

Event ID 3002: TEE_OMA_SESSION_DID_NOT_COMPLETE - The management session with device X did not complete. The connection may have been lost or the session timed out due to inactivity.
Event ID 3006: TEE_BAD_SYNCML_FROM_CLIENT - Erroneous SyncML received from device X during management session.

Red Health States

Event ID 3004: TEE_ERROR_PROCESSING_REQUEST - An error occurred while processing management updates for device X.
Event ID 3008: TEE_INVALID_CONFIGURATION_SETTINGS - An error occurred while processing management updates for device X.

Update Device Managment Configuration (Resolution)

If the database configuration for the Wipe service is invalid, then MDM will log Event ID 3004. To correct this error, follow these steps:

In the MDM Console, choose Start, choose All Programs, choose Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager, and then choose Mobile Device Manager Shell.
In MDM Shell, execute the following cmdlet: Get-DeviceManagementConfig.
Inspect the output, including any errors, to determine which configuration values are invalid.
In MDM Shell, use the Set-DeviceManagementConfig cmdlet to set the configuration. For more information about setting device management configuration, see the "Configuring MDM Services" topic in the MDM Operations Guide.
