Invalid replicated folder root path monitor

Microsoft.Windows.DfsReplication.InvalidRootPathMonitor (UnitMonitor)

This monitor checks to see if the local path of any of the replicated folders on the monitored server is invalid or inaccessible.

Summary

The DFS Replication service may register this event if it detects that the root path of the specified replicated folder is an invalid local path.

Event: 6404

Anti-events: 4002, 4008, 4010, 4114, 1004, 1104

Causes

The DFS Replication service cannot replicate the specified replicated folder because the configured local path is not a valid, existing, accessible local folder.

Resolutions

Re-configure the replicated folder with a valid and accessible local path using the DFS Management snap-in or the Dfsradmin.exe command-line tool. Ensure that the DFS Replication service has access to the replicated folder’s root path.
