Microsoft.Windows.FileServer.DFSN.2008.RootTarget.TooManyErrors (UnitMonitor)

This object monitors a namespace for the presence of a large number of errors.

Summary

This object monitors a namespace for the presence of a large number of errors, and if there are, generates an alert. It does this by looking for the presence of DfsSvc event 14509.

Causes

This can occur if a namespace has a large number of errors of any type.

Resolutions

Review the alerts for the namespace in the Operations console or the events in Event Viewer and then troubleshoot those monitors or events.

After you resolve the problem, manually reset the health state of this monitor to Healthy.
