DFS-R: Replicated Folder Root and Staging Folder Availability

Microsoft.Windows.FileServer.DFSR.2008R2.Cluster.ReplicatedFolderDiskNotOnline (UnitMonitor)

This object monitors the path of clustered replicated folders and their staging folders, and creates a Critical alert if it detects that the replicated folder path or staging folder path is offline.

Summary

This object monitors the path of clustered replicated folders and their staging folders, and creates a Critical alert if it detects that the replicated folder path or staging folder path is offline. It does so by looking for the presence of DFS Replication Event 9110.

Causes

An unhealthy state of this monitor indicates that the replicated folder path or staging folder path is offline. This can occur if the shared storage hosting the replicated folder or staging folder is offline.

Resolutions

Confirm that the storage resource is online

Confirm that the appropriate storage resource is online. To do so, open Failover Cluster Manager on the affected server and confirm that the status of the appropriate disk is Online. If it isn’t, select the disk and then click Bring this resource online.

Verification

This monitor automatically resets to a healthy state after this issue is resolved.
