This object monitors connections for a replication group and creates a Warning alert if it detects missing connections or one-way connections.
This object monitors connections for a replication group and creates a Warning alert if it detects missing connections or one-way connections. It does so by looking for the presence of DFS Replication Event 6804.
An unhealthy state of this monitor indicates that a replication group is missing connections and replication is partially or completely stopped. This can occur for the following reasons:
An administrator doesn’t create the two-way connections between members of the replication group.
AD DS has replication timing issues while migrating SYSVOL replication to DFS Replication.
Create a connection
To resolve this issue, use DFS Management to create one or more connections or to delete the replication group. To create a new connection, see Create a Connection (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=165781).
You can identify the replication group with disabled connections by examining the alert or DFS Replication Event 6802.
Note: To create a connection or delete the replication group, you must be a member of the Domain Admins group in the domain in which the replication group is configured, the creator of the replication group, or have been delegated permissions.
Verification
This monitor automatically resets to a healthy state when it detects connections.
Note: If this issue occurs while migrating SYSVOL replication to DFS Replication on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2, the monitor might not automatically reset to a healthy state. For more information, see article 978326 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=187094).
