Un serveur Web IIS (Internet Information Services) peut être configuré pour la journalisation Site, Binaire centralisée ou W3C centralisée. Dans la journalisation W3C centralisée, toutes les demandes client de tous les sites sont journalisées dans un fichier journal unique au format W3C centralisée sur le serveur. La journalisation Binaire centralisée journalise également tous les sites de manière centrale dans un fichier unique, mais au format Binaire centralisée. Dans la journalisation Site, toutes les demandes client sont journalisées au niveau du site, de manière non centrale, au niveau du serveur. Ces types de journalisation dépendent du service de publication World Wide Web pour leur configuration.
