Internet Information Services (IIS) Websajter som använder HTTP är mycket beroende av IIS komponenter för dess tillgänglighet. Windows Process Activation Service (WAS), the World Wide Publishing Service (W3SVC), HTTP service, måste alla köras korrekt. Dessutom måste programpoolen köras korrekt för att vra tillgänglig för webbsajtens program. Om någon av dessa komponenter inte fungerar, kommer inte webbsajten att vara tillgänglig.

Stoppa och starta om webbplatsen

Vid start läser WAS information från ApplicationHost.config-filen. En del av den information som WAS läser är programkonfigurationen, exempelvis aktiverade protokoll och programpoolerna för programmet. För att program ska kunna konfigureras korrekt måste det finnas en tydlig kommunikation mellan WAS och programmets protokoll. Om du stoppar och startar en plats kan den här kommunikationen återupprättas.
