Summary

Data Protection Manager (DPM) was not able to install, upgrade, or uninstall a protection agent on a specified protection group.

Causes

See the Alert Details pane for more information on the cause of this alert.

DPM was not able to reach the protected computer.
The firewall on the protected computer is blocking requests from DPM.
The RPC service is down on the protected computer.
IPsec is turned ON for only one server - either the protected computer or for DPM.

Resolutions

The error conditions and recommended actions associated with each “Agent operation failure” alert are provided in the alert details.

Re-install the protection agent on the specified protection group.
