Summary

The Routing and Remote Access service encountered an error while configuring a packet filter.

 

Resolutions

1.     Open Event Viewer, and search for events that contain “packet filter”. Follow instructions for fixing any errors you find.

2.     Stop Routing and Remote Access, restart the computer, and restart Routing and Remote Access.

 

Sample Event

Sample Event: An error occurred while configuring IP packet filters over %1. This is often the result of another service, e.g. Microsoft Proxy Server, also using the Windows 2000 filtering services.
