Summary

This alert indicates that the Microsoft Project Server Eventing Service is stopped.

 
Causes

Possible causes include:

  • An administrator stopped the Microsoft Project Server Eventing Service.

Note: A Windows SharePoint Services timer job will periodically restart the Microsoft Project Server Eventing Service if it is stopped.

  • Unknown error.
 
Resolutions

Possible resolutions include:

  • If this alert occurred because an administrator stopped the Microsoft Project Server Eventing Service, a Windows SharePoint Services timer job periodically restarts the service if it is stopped. If you do not want the timer job to start (for example, you stopped the service manually for troubleshooting purposes), you must stop the Windows SharePoint Services Timer service before stopping the Microsoft Project Server Eventing Service.
  • If this alert occurred due to an unknown error, review the Windows NT Event log for entries with event category “Project Server Server-Side Events” and troubleshoot accordingly.
