Causes

A management switch internal error occurred. The error is logged when the management switch is not able to control or query the status of enclosure components because of a hardware problem that may be caused by a component or connection outside the management switch.

Resolutions

Examine the /nas/log/sys_log to locate the cause of the management switch event. This may be caused by bad I2C connections on the motherboard or the enclosure. This can also happen when the two management switches in the enclosure have conflicting views of the system. Replacing the enclosure hardware or one of the management switches may be necessary.
