This monitor tracks compliance state of the backup Job with the configured RPO policy
The Veeam Backup and Replication Job is not compliant with the assigned RPO threshold.
The monitor is disabled by default. You can override the following parameters:
Name | Default Value | Description |
Window | 25 | Defines the maximum amount of data that you may accept to lose, expressed in time. The parameter value of 25 means that the minimum frequency with which backups should be made is 24 hours (plus 1 hour in case backup is made once a day). |
Note: If you have configured several overrides of the same type, select the Enforced check box for an override that should have priority over all other overrides.
If you are currently using Veeam Backup & Replication 7.0, you may need to perform additional backup server configuration to allow the monitor to work correctly. That is why it is recommended that you upgrade to Veeam Backup & Replication 8.0 to reduce excessive CPU and memory load on the server. Check Veeam MP Release Notes for more information on the issue.
The monitor switches to the 'Warning' state if the job schedule is configured to create restore points less frequently than the RPO policy requires.
The monitor switches to the 'Critical' state if there are no restore points created within the RPO window.
Check configuration of the job. The job could be disabled or unable to perform a backup operation.
Check that the job schedule is configured to comply with the specified RPO.
If there is no configured schedule for the job, either launch it manually, or check that it should be launched by a 3rd-party application.
Check the Veeam Backup & Replication resources for more information, in particular:
