Veeam Backup Repository Connection Status Monitor
Veeam Backup & Replication server lost connection to the backup repository.
Veeam Backup & Replication may lose connection to the backup repository due to one of the following reasons: failure of the network cable, disconnection of the cable, failure of the physical network card, backup repository services failure, firewall issues, backup repository power state.
Backup server tracks the version of Veeam Backup & Replication components running on the backup proxy, so that backup jobs can be correctly processed by all the components. In case the version of Veeam Backup & Replication components running on the backup repository is outdated, the backup server will indicate failure for such connection.
Verify that backup repository is accessible both by backup proxy and Veeam Backup & Replication servers. Check firewall settings on the proxy server (if applicable) and make sure Veeam backup repository services are up and running, and all components are updated to the latest version.
Keep in mind that network (CIFS) shares may be inaccessible because of permissions issues or network issues between the repository server and server that contains physical storage with shared network resources.
Check the reason of connection failure for a specific component in the alert text.
