Veeam VMware: Virtual Machine Network Adapter Reservation Status Alarm

Veeam.Virt.Extensions.VMware.VC6Alarm.VM.VirtualMachineNetworkAdapterReservationStatus (UnitMonitor)

Knowledge Base article:

Summary

This monitor tracks the vCenter Alarm 'Virtual Machine network adapter reservation status'.

Causes

This alarm will fire in vCenter, using triggers defined via the vSphere Client.

By default, this alarm is triggered by the following events:

vCenter Event

Alarm Status

Description

com.vmware.vc.vm.VmAdapterResvSatisfiedEvent

alarm_status(green)

Requirements to reservation of network resources are satisfied.

com.vmware.vc.vm.VmAdapterResvNotSatisfiedEvent

alarm_status(red)

Requirements to reservation of network resources cannot be satisfied.

Resolutions

Check that enough network adapters are available on the virtual switch for the bandwidth reservation to be satisfied. Add more NICs, if possible, or reduce network resources reservation for a VM or a group of VMs. See the ESXi and vCenter Server 6.0 Documentation for more information on configuring bandwidth allocation for a virtual machine.
