Summary

This monitor tracks the Virtual SAN Health Alarm 'Virtual SAN Health Service up-to-date'.

Causes

The purpose of the Virtual SAN Health Service up-do-date check is to ensure that all ESXi hosts in the vSAN cluster have the latest version of the Virtual SAN Health Service VMware Installation Bundle (VIB) installed. The VIB is a plugin for VMware vSAN which allows troubleshooting and monitoring of vSAN installations and implementations. If the check fails, this means that one or more hosts in the cluster are running an outdated version of the VIB.

Resolutions

Update the Virtual SAN Health Service VIB on all hosts in the cluster to match the VMware vSAN Health Check plugin version deployed on the vCenter Server. To do that, follow the instructions provided in this VMware KB article.
