This monitor tracks the Virtual SAN Health Alarm 'Stats DB object check'.
Virtual SAN performance service collects performance statistics on the Virtual SAN environment and stores these statistics in the Stats DB object. The Stats DB object check examines the Stats DB object to ensure that the following conditions are met: the Stats DB object exists, the Stats DB object is healthy, and the Stats DB object space usage stays within the recommended threshold.
If the check displays a warning or error, this means either that the Stats DB object does not exist, the Stats DB object is unavailable, or that the space usage threshold has been breached. By default, the following free logical disk space thresholds are used to generate warnings and errors for the health check:
Green (OK) | Yellow (Warning) | Red (Error) |
< 80% | 80% - 95% | > 95% |
For more information on the Performance Service - Stats DB object check, see this VMware KB article.
If the Stats DB object does not exist, try disabling and then re-enabling the performance service.
If the Stats DB object is not healthy, inspect the object to get more information on the issue. To do that, follow the instructions provided in this VMware KB article.
If the Stats DB object is running low on free logical disk space, VMware recommends that you contact VMware Support.
For more information on troubleshooting Virtual SAN issues, see VMware Docs.
Use the Alerts View to see all current open issues for this object. Use the Events View to review any error and warning events for this object. Open a Performance View to see the performance metrics for this object and all contained objects. Open a Diagram View to analyze the relationships of this object to other components.
