Veeam VMware: vSAN online health alarm 'vSAN max component size'

Summary

This monitor tracks the vSAN Online Health Alarm 'Component limit'.

Causes

The Component limit check analyzes the overall number of Virtual SAN components on the physical disk to ensure that the disk has enough capacity to satisfy the Virtual SAN object provisioning policy.

If the check displays a warning or error, this means that the number of vSAN components has reached the disk limit, thus the deployment of new virtual machines will fail and rebuild operations will not be able to complete. By default, the following thresholds are used to generate warnings and errors for the health check:

Green (OK)

Yellow (Warning)

Red (Error)

< 75%

75% - 95%

> 95%
