Summary

This monitor tracks the VMware vCenter-Services Health Alarm.

Causes

This alarm will fire in vCenter, using triggers defined via the vSphere Client.

By default, this alarm is triggered by the following events:

vCenter Event	Component	Alarm Status	Description
vim.event.HealthStatusChangedEvent	vpxd-svcs	alarm_status(green)	Health status of the VMware vCenter-Services service changed to GREEN.
vim.event.HealthStatusChangedEvent	vpxd-svcs	alarm_status(yellow)	Health status of the VMware vCenter-Services service changed to YELLOW.
vim.event.HealthStatusChangedEvent	vpxd-svcs	alarm_status(red)	Health status of the VMware vCenter-Services service changed to RED.

Resolutions

If the VMware vCenter-Services Health Alarm fires, check whether the VMware vCenter-Services service is running. In case the service is stopped, try starting it again. For more information on stopping, starting and restarting vCenter Server 6.x services, see this VMware KB article.
