To resolve the problem:
Stop all Enterprise Vault services and processes that are using MAPI.
Ensure that a version of MAPI supplied with Microsoft Outlook 2003 or later is installed and correctly configured on the Enterprise Vault server.
Restart the Enterprise Vault services. If the problem persists, see the "Troubleshooting" section of the Enterprise Vault Administration help file for guidelines on how to proceed.
