Description

The system boot process for the blade server fails before the operating system loads.

Causes

The blade server powers on, but the boot process fails before the operating system loads.

Implications

The management module generates this event.

Resolutions

Take actions based on the type of blade server for which this event occurs:

  1. From the BIOS menu on the blade server, verify that the boot parameter is configured correctly. Restart the blade server and press F1 to display the BIOS menu.
  2. If you have added options to the blade server, reseat those options. Otherwise, reseat the blade server.
  3. Listen for any beep codes that might occur when the blade server reboots. Refer to the Hardware Maintenance Manual and Troubleshooting Guide for more information about resolving beep codes.
