Description

The specified fan or blower module is no longer operating

Causes

The management bus monitor has detected that a Chassis Cooling Device is outside of fault speed.

Implications

The enclosure temperature should be addressed at the earliest opportunity. If the enclosure temperature keep rising the system might shut down by itself.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

  1. Check to make sure that the rear fan or blower module is receiving power. To do this, check the System Status page through the advanced management module Web interface. Note: The BladeCenter T chassis has an illuminated green power LED when power is present. An amber LED indicates lack of power or a failed component.
  2. Check your power source and cabling. Note: All power cords must be attached.
  3. Reseat the fan or blower module.
  4. Replace the fan or blower module.
