Knowledge Article: ID B00101000: One or more blades are isolated from the management bus.

Description

The advanced management module cannot communicate with one or more blade servers and isolates the blade servers from the management bus.

Causes

When the advanced management module fails to communicate with any blade server, it tries to disconnect and reconnect to each blade server. If a failed blade server is not recovered, this log entry is written.

Implications

The blade server that is experiencing communication failure might not work as designed.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

  1. View the System Status Summary page through the advanced management module Web interface to determine which blade servers have been isolated.
  2. Attempt to reset the service processor for each of the blade servers. You can reset the service processor through the advanced management module Web interface, from the Blade Power/Restart page.
  3. Reseat each of the blade servers.
