Knowledge Article: ID B0421C481: CPU %d temperature fault

Description

The temperature for the specified CPU is the specified blade server is over the fault threshold.

Causes

The CPU sensor detects that the temperature of the CPU is over the fault threshold.

Implications

The temperature that is over the fault threshold generates this event.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

  1. If the over voltage problem is occurring on all blades, look for other events in the log related to power and resolve those events.

Note: If the over voltage problem is occurring on all blade servers in the same power domain, the problem might be in one of the power supplies that powers that domain (log in to the advanced management module to see the power supplies that are associated with each power domain). Replace the power supplies, one at a time, to see if the problem resolves.

  2. Replace the blade server.
