Description

A request to release the Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) failed. The advanced management module will attempt to reassign ownership to the new blade server.

Causes

The management module request to release the KVM failed.

Implications

The failure generates this event.

Resolutions

If the keyboard and video are working or are not being used, no action is required. Otherwise, perform these steps:

  1. Determine which blade server perviously owned the KVM. You can determine ownership from the Blades LED page in the advanced management module Web interface.
  2. Use the advanced management module Web interface (from the Blade Power/Restart page) to reset the system management processor for the blade server that previously owned the KVM.
