Description

A blade server has been powered off due to a critical chassis cooling device failure. Typically, this is a result of mulitple fan or blower module failures.

Causes

The system thermal sensor in the chassis detects that several cooling devices failed.

Implications

The blade server powers off.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

  1. Check power to the fan or blower modules.
  2. Check the event log to see which fan or blower modules are failing and reseat them.
  3. Replace the failing fan or blower modules.
