Description

The service processor on the specified blade server detects that the Blade Expansion Module reaches or exceeds the recommended temperature threshold.

Causes

The CPU and blade expansion module (BEM) Temperature Sensors detects that BEM temperature is at or above the recommended threshold.

Implications

This event is generated.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

1. Check the room ambient temperature to ensure that it is within the operating specifications for the chassis.
2. verify that all fan or blower modules are running. Replace fan modules if necessary.
3. verify that a device or filler is installed in each bay in the front and rear of the chassis, and verify that there is nothing covering the bays. Any missing components can cause a major reduction in airflow for the blade server.
