Description

The advanced management module cannot communicate with the specified power module.

Causes

The management bus monitor cannot communicate with the specified power module.

Implications

The failure generates this event.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

  1. Check the event log for other power related events and resolve them. Examples include a throttled blade server or fan modules running at full speed.
  2. Verify that the DC LED is lit on the power module.
    • If the DC LED is lit:
      1. Reseat the power module.
        Note: Before reseating or replacing a power module, verify that you have enough power modules in the chassis to power the remaining components in the chassis. Otherwise, components might power off, which can disrupt BladeCenter system operations.
      2. Check the event log for any other communications events and resolve them.
      3. Replace the power module.
    • If the DC LED is not lit, verify that there is power coming to the power module.
