Description

A Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) alert has been received for a hard disk drive in the specified storage module.

Causes

The SAS Controller Module (RAID SAS Switch) will check for a PFA condition.

Implications

When a PFA condition occurs, this event is generated.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

  1. Log in to the SAS RAID controller either through Storage Configuration Manager or through the command-line interface (CLI) to determine which hard drive has caused the PFA condition.

  2. At your earliest convenience, replace the hard disk drive.
