Description

A request to power down the specified SAS RAID controller module timed out.

Causes

The powering down of a SAS switch timed-out.

Implications

The specified I/O module will not power off.

Resolutions

Perform these steps:

  1. Attempt to power down the SAS RAID controller module again.

  2. Check the Activity LED on the battery backup unit.
    • If it is not lit, reseat the SAS RAID controller module.
    • If it is lit, wait a few minutes to see of the light will turn off.
      Note: Removing the SAS RAID controller module while the LED is lit can result in data loss.
