Description

This incident indicates that the ServeRAID-MR Provider failed.

IBM Director Platform Agent^*1 requires one version of the ServeRAID-MR Provider for monitoring the health of the MegaRAID Storage.

Causes

Various reasons can cause the ServeRAID-MR Provider to fail. The exact cause of the problem requires troubleshooting to isolate the problem.

Implications

If the ServeRAID-MR Provider stops functioning properly, almost all of the hardware instrumentations provided by MegaRAID are lost for systems management software, such as IBM Systems Director Server or Microsoft Operations Manager. As a result, the systems management software is not able to discover hardware components or monitor the health of the MegaRAID storage.

2. If necessary, follow the instructions in the "Additional information" section to download and install the latest version of ServeRAID-MR provider, depending on your need.
