Description

Memory events occur when a service processor or management module detects that the availability state of a dual inline memory module (DIMM) has changed.

Causes

The notification occurs when a change is detected in the system memory count of a Level-1 or Level-2 managed system.

Implications

This event is informative only. If necessary, investigate the event to confirm the changes.

Resolutions

  1. Contact your authorized operators and/or system administrators.
    • Review the system dual inline memory module (DIMM) and, if necessary, the Asset ID task to determine the DIMM that has been affected.
    • Consult the System User Guide and the Hardware Maintenance manual.
    • Retain the full recorded logs.
  2. Monitor the system for future events, keep track of all alerts, events, and logs.
