Description

BIOS events occur when a service processor or management module detects that the state of the system BIOS has changed.

Causes

At least one value in the system BIOS has changed.

Implications

This event is informative only. Investigate the event to confirm the change, if you find it necessary.

Resolutions

  1. Contact your authorized operators and/or system administrators.
    • Review the system BIOS to determine which value has been changed.
    • Consult the System User Guide and the Hardware Maintenance manual.
    • Retain the full recorded logs.
  2. Monitor the system for future events, and keep track of all alerts, events, and logs.
